Colored Glass also known as Heat-absorbing Glass, refers to glass that exhibits different colors when added to a Colored Art Glass colorant. 1. Function of Colored Glass Sheets

(1) Absorb solar radiant heat

3. Hazard of Colored Flat Glass

Colored Glass belongs to the category of special glass, also called Heat-absorbing Float Glass, and usually blocks about 50% of sunlight radiation. 6mm Thick Blue Glass can only transmit 50% solar radiation, and Bronze Heat Absorbing Glass can only penetrate 25% of the sunlight.

(1) The heat-absorbing glass is suitable for doors, windows or external walls of buildings in hot areas that require both lighting and heat insulation. However, in the residential buildings in urban areas can play sterilization, disinfection, deodorant effect of the sun, but will be blocked half by these Colored Heat-absorbing Glass,  it is worth the candle.

(2) Some households installed screens with a 70% light transmittance, combined with a Colorless and Transparent Common Glass, and the total light transmittance was about 61%, which is just right, but when coupled with colored heat-absorbing glass, the light transmittance Only 35%, certainly affect the indoor lighting requirements.

(3) It is also a common mistake to close the balcony also with Colored Heat-absorbing Float Sheets Glass. Only the balcony is in direct contact with nature. It should not be closed, and it must not be decorated with colored glass. If you live in a low-light environment such as blue-gray or brown for a long period of time, the quality of indoor sight will inevitably decline, which will make you physically and mentally exhausted, and it will have adverse effects on your health.
