1. White fog and white spots: slight mildew on the float glass surface due to storage time, air humidity or flat glass quality problems.
2. Rainbows: when the white fog and white spots appear for a long time, they will form rainbows. At this time, the moldy situation only stays on the surface of the sheet glass and does not corrode into the sheet glass.
3. Sulfur change: the appearance of float glass molds is the same as that of slight molds, but the basic molds on the float glass surface have corroded into the sheet glass, which is seriously moldy.
4. Paper printing: like the sulfur change, the float glass is seriously mildew on the outside and inside.
Identification and inspection methods of molds of float glass:
Visual appearance measurement is a simple and feasible method. The samples were placed in reflected and transmitted light to see if there were any spots or fogs on the float glass surface, even under concentrated strong light. These spots and fogs cannot be wiped off with cloth or water. The float glass that appears above phenomenon, show sample already moldy.A small number of spots and mist observed by the naked eye are mildly moldy when exposed to intense light. Many of the spots and mist seen by the naked eye are moderately mildewed when exposed to intense light. In the absence of a concentrated beam of light, some spots and fogs are observed to be seriously moldy.
Float glass molds can also be observed in natural light by spray moistening.
How to prevent the float glass from moulding:
1.Float glass is usually stored in well-ventilated warehouses.
2.Substances cannot place float glass boxes directly on the moist ground in
the warehouse.
3.Press is not allowed to store sheet glass outdoors or in direct sunlight.
